Endre Tarczy is a Bay Area native who studied music at College of San Mateo and has been a freelance bassist for the last 30 years. He has been a member of many Bay Area bands, including Big Bang Beat and Santa Cruz’s White Album Ensemble. Endre has also toured and recorded with such blues artists as Chris Cain, Coco Montoya and Robben Ford. A multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, vocals), Endre also released his own solo effort “Ourang Outang” and has had his music played by such bands as Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and the Kelly Park Big Band.
Private one on one lessons available for all levels (seasoned professional to beginners) covering fundamentals of music and how it applies to playing the bass: reading rhythms-learning notes on instrument-chord construction-playing songs-reading a chart-the blues form etc.
Currently, Endre can be heard playing with the Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra (featuring Wee Willie Walker and Terri Odabi) and the James Brown tribute band, The Funky Godfather. He’s also a member of WHaT (Wedemeyer, Hayes and Tarczy), who released their self-titled album in 1994, produced by Lyle Workman (Sting, Beck).
Endre has also performed with Bettye Lavette, Cyril Neville, Gregg Allman, John Lee Hooker, Ronnie Montrose,, Lita Ford, Vince Welnick (Tubes, Grateful Dead), Dave Meniketti (Y&T), Lyle Workman and Kid Andersen.
