Chris Stone - When I was 14 a high school music teacher showed me how to pick out songs from my favorite records so I had as many teachers as I had albums. From ZZ Top I learned the power of raw tone. From Stevie Ray Vaughn I learned to sting 'em with a note so sweet and painful they can't MOVE until you release it. Black Sabbath showed me the might of a "power chord" blasted from a wall of amps. Iron Maiden and Queensryche showed me the effect of precision and speed. And Kiss taught me that this isn't Rocket Science, it's OK to play for the sheer FUN of it. In fact it's the ONLY reason.
I have over 25 years of experience playing, writing, and performing. Though Hard Rock, Metal, and Blues and my first loves, I have also played acoustic guitar with songwriters ranging in style from Folk, to Country and Alternative.
I specialize in Beginning to Intermediate levels of instruction. Whether you want to strum an acoustic by yourself or with a few friends, or perform onstage with a band, you'll learn the skills to make it happen.
