Showcase:
Guild D-40 Bluegrass
You have
never heard a Guild Like the Brand New D-40 Bluegrass
Jubilee!
First
of all, notice how lightweight the mighty D-40 is. Then
examine the top: Yes, it is solid red spruce with scalloped
red spruce braces, just like all the great pre-war instruments
we all covet. Flip it over and admire the solid mahogany
back and sides as well.
Strum
a few first position chords and take in the balance,
resonance and overall clarity of whatever you play.
Finally, play a few single note runs wherever you like
on this piece and marvel at the note separation and
the overall quality of articulation emanating from this
instrument. Good grief, this really is not your father's
(or grandfather's) Guild dreadnought!
Everything
on this instrument is right: nitro-cellulose lacquer
finish, bone nut, bone saddle, bone bridge pins and
a dovetail neck joint. Vintage specs done right and
built here in the USA.
