Tom Anderson Classic - Black Cherry
Another installment in Gelb's "What Ritchie Blackmore should be playing" series. It's our take on the Deepest Purple album cover. Yeah, yeah, we know that was a white Strat with a purple spotlight shining on it but we think this guitar embodies the spirit of the original photo in concept & is WAY cooler as an instrument. So cool in fact that when we placed the order Tom & Roy asked if we would agree to let them show it at the NAMM show before they delivered it to us. This black cherry classic was a big hit. It's something of an internet celebrity now... with good reason.

The thing that one notices at first glance is the ever-stylish black cherry metallic finish. Beauty, however, is more than just skin deep & this guitar is gorgeous to the bone. Even acoustically this is great sounding guitar; very touch sensitive with a lot of pop.

Do you have any idea how many tones a 3 pickup Anderson guitar with a simple 5 way switch & an add bridge control provide? If you said seven you are absolutely correct. But when you add the VA booster & the ability to tap the bridge humbucker you get....16.... we think.... That's a LOT of tones from one guitar! What's especially remarkable is that they're all USABLE tones. From sparkling clean to thick & muscular to all the shades in between this guitar has it covered.

The 7 pound weight, perfectly crowned stainless steel frets, silky smooth comfortable neck & Buzz Feiten tuning system insure that one can enjoy hours of effortless in-tune playing. Increased frequency of completely losing track of time is the only downside.
