184495 PRS 2012 Signature Limited Fire Red Burst
This is about as exclusive as it gets- 1 of 40 guitars. PRS built 400 Signatures this year; 80 each in 5 colors split evenly between tremolos & hard tails. The wide flame top & deep rich finish are truly striking. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous but more importantly it sounds absolutely fantastic. It's featherweight & just sings. Most notably the Signature boasts an innovative proprietary Signature/408 pickup system designed to extend the guitar's tonal spectrum & musicality. These pickups narrow the field of the bass pickup to increase focus & expand the field of the treble pickup to increase its tonal range providing stunning clarity & articulation. This configuration has its roots in Paul's pickup experimentation in the early 80s. The Signature/408 electronics offer 8 humbucking & no volume loss single coil sounds thanks to a simple versatile switching system.

The Signature Limited Run reintroduces the concept of the popular “Signature Series” guitar first offered over 20 years ago and adds all the PRS top tier Private Stock appointments.  The Signature model is limited to 100 pieces & showcases a culmination of years of artist input.
