Here's a nice little change of pace in a gorgeous package. The other Evolutions Rob Elrick has built for us have had alder center strips & J pickups. This one has a walnut center strip with soapbars. The result is predictably a fuller, punchier midrange from the same lightweight extremely ergonomic platform. Swamp ash body wings flank the aforementioned walnut center strip capped by a stunning myrtle burl top. 3 piece maple neck. The fingerboard is the tightest grained piece of wenge we've ever seen. 24 perfectly crowned frets & the most graceful neck joint in the business make playing absolutely effortless. 3 band 18 volt Bartolini preamp with 3 way mid frequency selector & active/passive switch provide a wide tonal palette from which the player can draw. Altogether a splendid instrument.
