Roscoe SKB 3005 Quilt Maple Top on Mahogany, Black Cherry Burst
Some folks like a splash of color. Enough people have asked about translucent finish high end basses over the last year that we felt we had to respond. If you are one of the multitude that likes such things, well then this one's for you. It's as gorgeous a black cherry as we've ever seen with a nice subtle burst that makes the figure really pop under the lights.
Anyone who has spent time with a Roscoe knows they play & sound as good as they look.

Mahogany with a maple top is a tried & true tone recipe for us. It provides plenty of big lows with a nice articulate low mid thump. The maple top focuses the lows & adds bite to the treble. Bartolini pickups & 3 band 18 volt preamp with push/pull mid frequency shift gives the player total tonal control. Subtly fine tuning the natural sound of the instrument or altering it drastically are equally simple.

Roscoes are very comfortable to play. The bodies are well balanced & elegantly sculpted making them not only beautiful but easy to wear even for extended periods. The 24 frets on the 35" scale maple fingerboard are perfectly crowned & access to the upper register is effortless.
