Roscoe Century 3005 Quilt Maple Top on Mahogany, Amberburst Finish
This is certainly a pretty thing and it sounds great to boot. The amberburst finish not only gives a nice depth to the quilt maple top but really brings out the grain & color in the mahogany body. We've been ordering this wood combination a lot lately; it provides nice articulation with great growl & punch. This bass has all the impressive tone & playability we've come to expect from Keith Roscoe's basses. Big rich lows, shimmering highs, musical muscle & touch sensitivity. 24 fret 35" scale Bolivian rosewood fingerboard on a maple & purple heart neck. Bartolini soapbar pickups & 3 band 18 volt preamp give plenty of sonic flexibility. Hand carved diamondwood nut & Hipshot hardware ice the cake.

There is a little mineral streak in the top above the bass side of the bridge but it doesn't take away from the look of the bass. Think of it as you would Cindy Crawford's beauty mark.
