Tom Anderson - Classic Electric Guitar in Natural Ash
Welcome to the third installment of our acclaimed Ritchie Blackmore series- Stange Kind of Guitar. The Gelb Music crew hopes that we can lure our hero back to the dark side of music where he belongs with a batch of guitars inspired by his legacy. There are more than enough lute players prowling the historical reenactment scene but only one Blackmore. Rock & roll still needs him.

This instrument celebrates a guitar that Ritchie used occasionally in 1973 & 4. The colors & shape are similar but there the resemblance ends. The guitar of record was likely a heavy ill-tempered beast with a neck pocket one could drive a truck into. This one would make Goldilocks happy; everything about it is juuust right. It plays like a dream & rings like a bell. The fit, finish & set up are perfect in every way. There are so many tones readily available it would make the other man in black's head spin.

It has been estimated that a capable player could rip through the solo for Highway Star 1.4 times faster on a Tom Anderson Classic than on the guitar on which the solo was originally recorded. Intonation & overall tone would be similarly improved. Consider the true meaning of the word effortless. An Anderson could make you feel lazy while playing Lazy. Serious stuff indeed.

We have made some concessions to the technological improvements of the last 40-50 years to make a better instrument. Hum canceling pickups that chime like the originals, the heralded Anderson VA booster, perfectly crowned stainless steel frets, the awesome Buzz Feiten tuning system, locking tuning machines & Tom's revolutionary wedge neck joint help to make this a worthy heir to the throne. It really is one of "the best guitars on the planet".
